Born in the high desert,
currently living by the coast.
a little bit about victoria faith tinsley

Poet,
Storyteller,
Visual Artist.
From a young age I dreamed in words.
I grew up in the Californian desert in the breezeway of a small house where the wind moved freely and so did I. My grandfather built my sister and I a swing from rope, nails, and worn wood. It creaked when we climbed on, pushing off the concrete floor and into the waiting air.
The radio was never silent. It sat steady and faithful, always tuned to the local country station katcountry, (my grandfather’s favorite) Steel guitars wept, and the voices were carried by it with stories.
That breezeway was my first stage.
I didn’t just sing along.. I wandered. I would slip my own words into songs by Shania Twain or George Strait, braiding my thoughts into their melodies. In my mind, the songs belonged to me. The wind would catch my voice mid swing, and for a moment, I believed it was enough to carry it somewhere far beyond the high desert.
It was there, suspended between dirt and sky, that I learned language could move. That words could ache. That music could hold a heart without breaking it.
Now, I write in a different breezeway, a digital one. Here my writings may sound like a song. They may arrive as sentences instead of choruses. But they are born the same way: from memory, from longing, from the world I often dreamt about but never built until now.
My name is Victoria Faith Tinsley, every word, every image, every video I release is not performance it is confession. It is consciousness. It is my heart, a world spun gently into motion.

Love Notes from the creator

I spent a decade dreaming of creating a world that I could get lost in… this sweet feeling is that world.
